Topic | Golf - putting on a slanted green |

|
In golf, everything is decided on the last few
meters if the ball falls into the hole (or not).
In this detailed analysis, the exact
differential equations are calculated when the golf ball rolls on a
sloping and braking putting green.. In comparison, other approximation methods are presented - e.g. the "aim method" - and compared with the exact solution. You gain a better physical understanding of the problems with putting on the green. In the end you only have to implement the theoretically calculated values for the start speed and the angle to the target exactly with your putter. There is only one thing left - you have to practice, practice and practice again. |

Data | The calculation is done on 15 pages for the different cases with 0.3 MB file size |
Notes | There is also an
abbreviated English Version
available. The level of difficulty of this very mathematical analysis is quite high. The various graphics and practical simplifications facilitate understanding. September 2015 |
